Fredrick John Haueter was born October 15, 1882 near Ann Arbor in
Washtenaw County. He was the son of John and Elisa. They had emigrated from
Switzerland earlier that year. In 1887 the family moved to Eagle Township in

When Fred was 24 he married Ina Baker on July 3, 1907. Ina was born July 29,

to the farm of his father Fred on Tallman Road. There they lived in house in the
orchard until Fred died in 1943.
They then moved into the main house, converting the upstairs for their
residence. Eventually Victor bought the farm and remained there until he died
August 22, 1984. Lorna had died February 15, 1983. Victor and Lorna had two
sons and one daughter: Victor Junior, Nancy Marie, and Robert Lee.
